Essential changes to Franking Machines
Royal Mail requires all Franking Machines to be upgraded to MailMark® Franking
Starting from 1st November 2022, the Royal Mail will be enforcing the replacement of traditional crown die indicia franking stamps with the new MailMark® machine-readable barcode system, to improve operational efficiencies. Following this change, the Royal Mail will only accept franked mail from customers who use a MailMark® franking machine.
The Royal Mail will also remove the use of the coloured adhesive labels for Franking Machine users and replace them with either a Mailmark® barcode with an S10 1D barcode, or a 2D barcode with an S10 1D barcode.
